Question: How do I book a mobile home?

Bookings can only be made online, by logging in to your account or registering as a new user.

Question: When do I pay the deposit? Can I think about it for a few days?

The deposit is 30% of the total amount, and must be paid within 3 days after availability has been approved.

Yes, but please inform us of your specific request in the booking notes. Where possible we will try to fulfil any requests.

Question: Can I choose my holiday accommodation?

Accommodation is allocated at the discretion of campsite management. As far as possible we will try to meet any requests you may have for a specific unit or area, which we must be informed of in the booking notes.

Question: When do I pay the balance of the booking?

The balance of your stay must be paid on arrival after check-in.

Question: How do I pay the balance of the booking?

We accept payment by cash, debit card, and all major credit cards.

Question: If I have already paid the balance of my stay and I find that I have to cancel the booking or cut short my holiday for unforeseen reasons, am I entitled to a refund?

In the event of cancellation the deposit will be returned in full, minus a €100 administration fee if written notification is received at least 30 days before the first day of the period booked. No refund will be issued for cancellations made 29 days or less before the first day of the period booked, or if guests fail to arrive.

Question: What is included in the daily accommodation rate for a mobile home?

The rate includes the period of stay, one car parking space, hire of the accommodation unit supplied with pans, crockery, blankets and pillows, bed linen changed weekly, air conditioning, outdoor shaded area with table and chairs, toilet facilities with hot and cold water, gas and electricity supply, and entertainment provided from 15/06 to 07/09.

Question: Are club cards available? Are extra services included in the accommodation rate?

No, we do not provide club cards. Use of the swimming pools, five-a-side football pitches, tennis courts and beach resort is subject to an extra fee not included in the accommodation price. Please be aware: swimming pools are open 10/06-10/09.

Question: Do you have special offers? Other discounts?

It is worthwhile checking the "Special Offers" section to keep up-to-date with promotions. There are no further discounts other than those published.

Question: I requested a booking but have not yet received any notification. When will I be contacted?

It is normal for notification to take a few days, particularly for popular holiday periods.

Question: Can I book more than one accommodation unit at the same time?

Unfortunately the booking form only allows for one accommodation unit request to be made. For each additional mobile home required, please send a separate booking request, stating the details for each of the visitors.

Question: Can I book accommodation units starting on days different to those stipulated (Thursday and Saturday)?

Unfortunately the arrival and departure days cannot be changed. Possible exceptions can be made during the period of band A.

Question: What are the differences between a mobile home and a caravan?

Mobile homes are larger and better equipped/furnished, with indoor toilet, kitchen, fridge and water supply, and they can accommodate 5 or 6 people. Caravans are smaller (3/4 berths) and more basic, with veranda kitchenette, smaller fridge and no indoor toilet, making them more suitable for seasoned campers.

Question: How are the mobile homes equipped externally?

All feature a covered wooden veranda complete with table and chairs.

Only Mobile home Spaces have satellite TV.

Question: Do the mobile homes have air conditioning?

Yes, both Family and Mobile home Spaces are equipped with air conditioning.

Question: Are the beds in the mobile homes removable? Is there space for a cot?

In rooms with single beds, these may be moved together or removed to make space for a child's folding bed (available on request), which may also be set up in the sitting room.

Question: What happens if I arrive before the scheduled time for allocating the accommodation units (5pm)?

As accommodation units must be cleaned and tidied once vacated, please be advised to wait for the check-in time. Please be aware that from 1pm to 4pm the campsite cannot accommodate the arrival of new guests. A parking area in front of the entrance is at your disposal during this period.

Question: If I think I will be arriving a day later than the date booked, do I need to let you know?

Yes, not least because delays of over 24 hours that have not been notified to the management result in cancellation of the booking.

Question: When are the beach facilities operational?

Facilities operate from 1/06 to 20/09 near beach access points no. 1 and no. 4. In low season the service may be limited to only one beach access point.

Question: Is the car parking space included in the camping rate?

Yes, except vehicles attached to campervans, for which the appropriate rate is required.

Question: How far away are the mobile homes from the beach?

Riva di Ugento enjoys a sea front location bordering onto the beach itself. Most of the mobile homes are situated at a distance of around 300–350m from the beach, with Mobile home Spaces no. 102 to no. 107, 400m away.

Question: Does the campsite have direct access to the beach? How far is it from the sea?

Riva di Ugento enjoys a sea front location bordering onto the beach itself. As the campsite grounds are extensive, certain areas may be situated up to 400m from the beach.

Question: Can I choose my beach umbrella?

Allocation of beach umbrellas, by row and place, is at the discretion of campsite management on the day your group arrives. As far as possible we will try to accommodate any requirement you may have.

Question: Can I take my dog with me on holiday?

Pets are not allowed inside the grounds of Riva di Ugento, not even small pets. There are no exceptions, even for well-trained, domesticated pets.

Question: Is there a transfer service to and from the airport or train stations?

Question: Does the camping resort offer in-house entertainment?

Yes, we provide entertainment for everyone adults, teenagers and children. The programme is displayed on notice boards around the campsite.

Question: How far is the nearest town from the campsite?

The nearest towns of Torre San Giovanni and Ugento are between 3km and 8km away. The campsite complex includes a supermarket where you will find groceries, tobacco and some camping equipment, a bar, pizza restaurant and clothes shop.

Question: Is there an ATM in the campsite?

Yes, for withdrawing cash, phone top-ups, paying bills and making other payments, and money transfers.

Question: Is it possible to hire a fridge?

Yes, 140 litre fridges can be hired from the campsite but cannot be reserved.

Question: Is the campsite suitable for someone with a disability, or who has difficulty walking?

Riva di Ugento offers services which are accessible to disabled people (toilet nos. 1 and 19, beach access point no. 4, and barrier-free paths through the social area), but as we do not accept bookings for most pitches we are not able to confirm availability of shaded pitches in a specific area. Nevertheless, guests choosing to stay at the campsite are assured that we will do our best to accommodate you.

Question: Can I bring a boat?

Yes, the campsite offers a path to the beach on which small boats (max. 5 mt.) may be towed, as well as a storage service that operates from the end of June to the beginning of September. Please note that boats should not be stationed in the sea, but must be brought onto dry land.

Question: It is possible to leave my camping gear in storage?

Riva di Ugento works with Holiday Service Srl (Tel. +39 347 1854359) to provide a winter storage service. Equipment is kept in large covered buildings located in the Ugento industrial estate.

Question: What is included in the daily accommodation rate for a pitch?

The rate includes the accommodation price for the stated number of people, parking for 1 campervan, or 1 caravan or 1 tent + 1 car or motorbike, the use of hot and cold water, the use of electricity by means of a socket and entertainment activities, when provided.

Question: If my group consists of 3 people (e.g. 2 parents + 1 child), what is the daily rate that I have to pay for a pitch?

Children receive a 100% discount regardless of age, therefore the inclusive pitch rate (e.g. of €21 will be applied for the period of low season).

Question: And if my group consists of 4 people (e.g. 2 parents + 2 children)?

The rate applied will be €21 + 5.

Question: What are the pitches like?

Campers will find pitches spacious and shaded, equipped with electricity socket, and many have WI-FI access. Pitches are marked out by natural or artificial borders, and are individually signposted. Bases are either grassy or sandy. Most pitches are naturally shaded, although we also offer some in sunny spots and for others we have created shade.

Question: What type is the electric socket?

It is a two-pole + earth blue colored European socket, for consumption up to 300 or 1200 watts for Standard pitches and up to 3.500 watts for Extra pitches. Please be aware that the capacity of electricity outlets varies according to the pitch chosen. On arrival, and before the pitch is allocated, we would advise you to notify the attendant of any electricity consumption requirements above 300 watts.

Question: Can I install a second tent on my pitch?

Yes, as long as the tent is small and is covered by the appropriate rate. An extra car + tent require payment of a new pitch.

Question: Is it possible to find a pitch available during August?

Until around 25 July there are many places available, with natural and artificial shade, and in sunshine. From 25 July to 20 August there may be limited availability. For more detailed information please contact us before you arrive.

Question: What is Pre-campsite?

From 1pm to 4pm and from 8pm to 8am the campsite is closed to the arrival of new guests. During these times a parking area in front of the entrance is at your disposal, equipped with toilet, shower and some electric sockets. Access to this area (guaranteed for a limited number of users) is not restricted to campsite guests.

Question: How does Pre-campsite work in high season?

In the event that there are no pitches available, and if conditions allow, you can initially use your own means of accommodation in the parking area. Although not secure, this is a free-of-charge arrangement until definitive accommodation can be found. Access to this area (guaranteed for a limited number of users) is not restricted to campsite guests.

Question: Is it possible to have barbeques on the pitches?

The campsite features various barbeque areas, equipped with grills and screens where only charcoal is allowed. Only the use of gas barbeques is permitted on pitches.
